چکیده

Understanding the subduction and recycling of continental crust is crucial for reconstructing long-term evolutionary history Earth's mantle crust. The Himalaya-Tibet orogen arguably world's best natural laboratory investigating these processes. Cenozoic post-collisional ultrapotassic volcanic rocks are common in Lhasa block southern Tibet they can provide important clues to crust-mantle interaction a well-characterized collision zone. sources processes that generated lavas contribute our understanding thermal compositional characteristics deep geodynamic this region, including Indian subduction. In contribution, we report Sr-Nd-Pb-O-B isotope elemental chemistry data (13-11 Ma) from TangraYumco-Xuruco rift (TYXR) block. arc-like trace-element signatures markedly enriched Sr-Nd-Pb-O compositions indicate mafic originate source containing recycled crustal components. Unlike pre-collisional (?64 with B/Nb (0.85-1.89) ?11B (?9.0 ?2.5‰) values, TYXR much lower (0.05-0.85) (down ?20.5‰) values resemble Miocene K-rich western Anatolia. Signatures of subduction-related hydrous magmas from the geochemistry of the upper mantle rocks of the northern Semail ophiolite

Concentrations of the incompatible trace elements and REEs in the upper mantle rocks of the Northern Semail ophiolite are very low, as typical in the residua of partial melting and in the early products of a fractionating magma. However, their geochemical characteristics have shown indications of hydrous magmas that more likely related to a subduction environment. Melt extraction can play a cru...

Geochemistry and petrogenesis of post-collisional ultrapotassic syenites and granites from southernmost Brazil: the Piquiri Syenite Massif.

The Piquiri Syenite Massif, southernmost Brazil, is part of the post-collisional magmatism related to the Neoproterozoic Brasiliano-Pan-African Orogenic Cycle. The massif is about 12 km in diameter and is composed of syenites, granites, monzonitic rocks and lamprophyres. Diopside-phlogopite, diopside-biotite-augite-calcic-amphibole, are the main ferro-magnesian paragenesis in the syenitic rocks...

Arc magmas sourced from mélange diapirs in subduction zones

At subduction zones, crustal material is recycled back into the mantle. A certain proportion, however, is returned to the overriding plate via magmatism. The magmas show a characteristic range of compositions that have been explained by three-component mixing in their source regions: hydrous fluids derived from subducted altered oceanic crust and components derived from the thin sedimentary ven...

Geochemistry and Sr-Nd Isotopes of the Oligo-Miocene Bagh-e-Khoshk Granitoid in SE of the UDMA, Iran: Implications for Petrogenesis and Geodynamic Setting

Oligo-Miocene Bagh-e-Khoshk granitoid stock is intruded into the Eocene volcanic rocks in the southeastern part of the Urumieh-Dukhtar Magmatic assemblage in Iran. The granitoids are mainly consisting of diorite, quartz diorite and granodioritic rock types. They are metaluminous to slightly peraluminous, medium to high K calc-alkaline, with SiO2 ranging from 50.2 to 66 wt.%. The majo...
